I have been under the care of Dr Sharon Laura since January 2017 after a breast cancer diagnosis. From my first appointment she explained everything and gave me as much confidence as she could that i would be ok.
She didn't sugar coat my situation, but explained everything that would happen step by step, from surgery to chemo to radiation.
I was signed off by her this month, she was genuinely so happy for me.
I have no words to explain my gratitude to her as i do believe she has saved my life. Dr Laura is an amazingly talented surgeon and i have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her.
Thank you Dr Laura.💜

I had my right thyroid removed on 1 June 2020. In my first consultation with Dr Laura she was so thorough, I don't think I actually had to ask any questions. She wasn't there to be my best friend, but made sure I knew everything I needed to know about my condition which is exactly what I wanted. Despite the issues with Covid-19, Dr Laura was able to book me in for surgery within 1 week of my consultation.
On the day of my surgery, Dr Laura and her medical team were amazing. Dr Laura spent a great deal of time on my incision site making sure it was positioned in the best place to minimise scarring and to make it as small as possible. 7 weeks on my scar looks really good, I don't need to tell people why it is there as it is hardly noticable.
As it was my first general anesthetic, I was very nervous and anxious. Her team were just amazing. They made me feel so comfortable and at ease and were so reassuring. I have since been told by Dr Laura that she uses the same medical team when performing surgery. They were just lovely.
While I hope I never have to meet with Dr Laura again, I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who requires a consultation or surgery within her expertise.

I underwent surgery on 26/09/2020 for thyroid cancer shortly after being diagnosed by Dr Sharon Laura and have nothing but the highest of praise for this absolutely brilliant surgeon Dr Sharon Laura.
My surgery for thyroid cancer was quite extensive and not just a straight forward thryroidectomy.
It was a very long, drawn out and delicate operation that entailed her to perform this very tedious surgery with high risk factors overshadowed "no pressure" Nonetheless in saying that, not only did she preform at her highest level, she took her time with the utmost of care and dedication on her feet for many hours committed to preform an extremely intricate task at hand, to which her level of care and expertise went above and beyond. My recovery went well and I was left with a very tiny scar that always goes unnoticed, I have to point it out to people who are amazed by her work!
Dr Sharon Laura's professionalism is up there with the very best of world class specialists yet still ever so humble which is not only a beautiful quality to endure but inturn helped me with my recovery.
I loved that although being a public patient in a public hospital held no barriers with this truly remarkable soul, even after surgery she followed up with my recovery in hospital herself and was so informative from the very start through to the finish.
Dr Sharon Laura was an absolute blessing to have in our corner, yes I say "our" as I love that my partner and family were always an inclusion for her, considering my whole life had just been turned upside down and they were my support network and Dr Sharon Laura without a doubt was my lifeline...
I'm by no means religious but God certainly heard our prayers when we asked for the best possible outcome, "Sharon he gave us you" and for that I will eternally be grateful.
I sincerely thank you 🙏💗

I was dismissed by Dr Laura as not needing surgery so sought another opinion.
Am so grateful to my other surgeon who operated within the week due to severity of symptoms.
