Lin is situated on a small peninsula on Lake Ohrid, just south of the Qafe Thane mountain pass, which is a border-crossing point between Albania and North Macedonia. Pogradec is roughly 22 km to the south of the village. The Lin area has been inhabited since at least the Iron Age. Archaeological findings from the hilltop above the present-day village include faundation walls and mosaics of an early Christian Byzantine church,dating from the 6th century. Lin,would have been a destination you would reach with a bike along the side of the lake. You can also take a car, or a boat across the lake if you prefer. Traditional cooking of the Koran (which us the endemic fish) is a speciality that will always be remembered.🤘
